Start with the outcome you need
An aircraft detailing price means little without a clear scope. A cabin refresh before a passenger arrival, a deeper interior clean during scheduled downtime and a cosmetic exterior project are different assignments. An estimate should explain what the crew will address, what remains outside the agreement and how completion will be assessed.
Our planning recommendation is to start with your three most important outcomes. Examples might be removing visible cabin soil, improving presentation for a showing or arranging recurring exterior care. Describe the result rather than selecting a package name that could mean something different to every provider. This guide does not publish market prices or promise a VentureWash rate.
Give each provider the same information
Send the aircraft model, airport, parking location, available access window and desired work. Add representative photos with permission, especially of the areas that concern you. A photograph can inform an estimate, but it cannot establish the condition of every finish or identify every material.
Mention recent paintwork, interior refurbishment, existing coatings and any restrictions supplied by the operator. Ask whether the estimate assumes ordinary cleaning or includes separately assessed stain work. If the aircraft cannot be inspected before booking, request a written explanation of what could change the price.
Separate the job from the site logistics
Airport access is part of planning. DuPage Airport, for example, publishes its own rules and minimum standards for airport activity and service providers. [1] Its requirements should not be assumed to apply at Gary, Lansing or another airport.
Ask the provider to identify travel charges, access coordination, hangar arrangements and any facilities the customer must supply. Confirm who obtains permission from the airport or FBO. A convenient location on a service-area map is not evidence that a particular vendor has permission to work there.
Compare exclusions as carefully as inclusions
Ask for separate decisions on paint correction, brightwork, protective products, upholstery repair, component removal and flight-deck work. Certain refinishing and protective-material activities appear in Part 43 preventive-maintenance provisions; the applicable personnel and record requirements need review for the actual task. [2]
For comparison, put every estimate beside the same short scope document. Record the agreed work, excluded areas, change-approval process, cancellation terms and acceptance contact. A cheaper total may reflect a smaller assignment. A higher total should still have a clear explanation rather than an assumed quality advantage.
Leave room for a responsible decision
Our suggested final step is a brief review with the person who controls the aircraft schedule. Confirm the earliest access time and the latest acceptable handover, including any operator review. Do not treat the flight departure time as the moment cleaning should finish.
For a VentureWash Aircraft Detailing inquiry, share the aircraft, location, requested scope and timing. Availability, access, methods and price must be confirmed individually. The useful deliverable is an understandable proposal you can approve, not a universal price calculated from aircraft length alone.
